This is a printer's masking negative used to develop a Mickey Mouse birthday print either for merchandising or for use within the Walt Disney company. This negative is likely from the late 1970s or early 1980s. The masking negative would have been used in the creation of a screen for silk screening the print's image, and there is black masking fluid on positive side of negative, as is typical to ensure a clean mask is created. The piece measures overall 24" x 20.5" with the image measuring 17" x 12.5".
