A production cel from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Wolverine carrying a chain to tie up Sabretooth, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and is seen at about 18:23 in the season four episode "Beyond Good and Evil, Part 2: Promise of Apocalypse." Measuring 16.5"x10.5" overall, with the character image measuring 8.75"x4.5", the cel is in very good condition with minor surface wear including scratches, light black line fade, and paper backing transfer stuck to the reverse of the paint from storage and studio use. The cel has been paired with a reproduction color copy background for presentation purposes.
